Manual, Automate & Immersion Parts Cleaning
Parts Cleaning: are essential industrial processes as a prelude to surface finishing or to protect sensitive components. All Types of painting and coatings are particularly sensitive to part cleanliness, since molecular layers of oil can prevent adhesion of the coating. Cleaning processes include using Aero-Green in a heated spray cabinet washer, immersion tanks, ultrasonic immersion tanks, dip tanks and cold stand alone parts washers.
Test for Cleanliness: Perfectly clean metal surfaces are hydrophilic and will retain an unbroken sheet of water that does not bead up or drain off. The most common industrial test for cleanliness is the water break test, in which the surface is thoroughly rinsed and held vertical. Contaminants such as oils cause the water to bead and break up, allowing the water to drain rapidly.
Parts and materials to be cleaned: Parts to be cleaned consist of non-or hardly-processed sections, and can be composed of different metals or different combinations of metals. Plastics and composite materials frequently found in automotive components due to the light weight of the material.
Sizes and Types: Size is very important for the selection of cleaning methods and types of machines chosen for the cleaning process, for example big shafts for ships are usually cleaned manually, whereas tiny shafts for electrical appliances are often cleaned in bulk in highly automated heated immersion tanks.
Aero-Green is designed to clean parts using all types of cleaning equipment including manual cleaning, automated cleaning systems:
Manual Cleaning Sink-on-a-drum parts washer is the inexpensive solution for cleaning parts by hand. Aero-Green Industrial Degreaser is stored in the drum and cycled through the flexible spigot for handy use. |
